Q. What is a custom stomp pad and what would I use it for?

A. At Bokkerz, we take any logo and make it into your own stomp pad. We die cut or screen onto our durable rubber pads.  Also, new this season, are our Clear Custom Pads.  They are fantastic to put on your rental boards, for giveaways, to sell in your shop and for promoting your shop on the slopes.

Q. What is the  minimum quantity I have to buy?

A. THERE IS A VERY SMALL MINIMUM! We will not punish you for being a small shop. There is a one time setup charge which is determined by how complicated the design is. After that you can order as little as 50 custom stomp pads.

Q. Where and how are they manufactured?

A. All manufacturing takes place in the Bokkerz factory in Paterson, NJ (exit 156). The pads are manufactured to your specifications using only the most reliable materials.

Q. What does die cut mean and why is it better than screening?

A. A die cutter is similar to a big cookie cutter. Sheets of rubber are cut, pressure sensitive adhesive with backing paper is applied to the rubber and are sent to the die cutter. Steel rule dies (metal blades bent into the shape of your logo) are placed on the rubber and are pushed down by thousands of pounds of pressure to cut out the shape. This method is superior to screening in two ways. First, it is more durable (when you screen onto a stomp pad it will eventually rub off). Second, it is more versatile (since the die cut pieces pop out, you can use the pads in many ways).  We do offer screened pads which are less expensive and have a smaller setup charge.  You would need to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods to see what works best for your needs.

Q. My logo is very complicated, can you make a custom pad from it?

A. At Bokkerz, we pride ourselves on being the only manufacturer that we know of that will tackle even the most difficult designs.  With our screened rubber and clear pads, we can do any logo.  With our die cut pads, we can do almost any logo.

Q. I don't have camera ready artwork, is that a problem?

A. For a die cut pad, we don't need camera ready artwork. We can take your logo from a fax or even a business card.  For screened rubber and clear pads, we will need a very clean copy of your artwork.

Q. What are the steps involved in getting my pads made?

A. Step 1: fax in your artwork (973 742-1133) to get a quote. Step 2: place order. Step 3: Die is created and samples are sent with color choices. Step 4: Choose colors. Step 5: Pads are manufactured and shipped.

Q. How long will it take to make up the pads?

A. The length of the process depends on a number of factors. What time of the year you are ordering (the earlier the better), how complicated your design is (more complicated takes more time) and how fast you respond with the color choices. The whole process should take around 4 weeks.

Q. How much do they cost?

A. Again, this depends on the complexity of the design and the quantity ordered. Also, if the pads will come with packaging and with the colors fully swapped. Price is based on pads in sets of two (if you have a pad with the letters P-A-D inside an oval, you would have one pad with say a black oval and white letters and a pad with a white oval and black letters. i.e. the inverse). You will need to fax us your design so we can make sure we are giving you the lowest possible price for your stomp pads.
